Caribbean Vacation

What can I say about this trip, I enjoyed having one ENTIRE week with my hubby.  I really loved so much quality time and he couldn't even disappear off to play computer games.  He just had to spend time with me and I soaked that up.  The weather was great and the trip went without a hitch.  My favorite parts were St. Thomas' Magen's bay which is rated one of the world's top ten beaches, island tours, submarine ride, amazing dinners, BBC (Banana Bailey Colada) & Quavaberry drinks, learning the Wobble (hip-hop line dance) and magicians entertaining us on board.  Overall, I really enjoyed it but was also so giddy to come home and snug (short for snuggle) my dog.  I missed him and I was starting to experience withdrawal from being able to speak to people and from Facebook.  The cruise charged like $9 per min or something outrageous to call so I just kept that phone on airplane mode and used it to snap a couple of photos.

Jungle Shower

I have been quietly planning my sister's jungle-themed baby shower for a while now and I am pretty excited that it is nearly here!  There is still so much to do but here is a small sneak into what is coming this weekend!

Saturday

Today was the first Saturday I have had off in months!  It felt terrific!  I woke up at 8:30 and began my mission- clean the house.  Unfortunately, I lost my momentum after I stopped to go get my nails done with Kaylie.  But, I did have an extra long massage in the chair and I do like that my toes are looking much better. I did accomplish some photo editing this afternoon and I have been stopping from time to time to fold laundry.

Friday

Today was the 6th-7th grade field trip to Homer Lake.  I had a pretty great afternoon and I really loved it!  I got to go hiking, play volleyball and play frisbee.

When I got home, I was pretty tired and I wanted to take a nap.  But, Cooper had other plans, he wanted to go on a long walk.  So, we compromised and we got to play with the neighbor dog.  After Cooper was thoroughly covered in dog slobber, I decided to give him a bath and a hair cut.  I actually just paid $45 to get it done professionally just three weeks ago. I was super bummed when I picked him up because it didn't hardly look like they touched him.  So, I took a whack at him and he is looking much better.

Thursday- 8th grade Commencement

Thursday was a busy day as I got to help Mr. Mikeworth take 8th grade graduation pictures during the day. I went home after school in time to walk Cooper, take a short nap, eat dinner and turn back around again to celebrate my eighth graders graduation!  I even came home and edited pictures for an hour or two afterwards. I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. One more week!

VG flood

My parents basement flooded earlier last month. They lost a lot in the basement. Chris and I weren't available to help them much, but we did get a chance to make it down last weekend and help with the cleanup efforts. More to come about this later.

Teacher appreciation week

I don't expect anything from my students but it was quite nice when I found that 4th graders had made me this sign! Too funny!
