Blessed

A window of opportunity just recently opened up for me and I just pray that God guides my steps toward the right direction.  I know he has always led my path and guided my steps... it's just the world seems so wide open that I just ask for His clarity and wisdom.  So, if you would send some prayers up for my guidance, I'd be grateful!!

Resolution

I made a new years resolution (yes I'm a little bit late). After being sick for 5 days I decided I need to do something for my health. I decided I have to go to bed between 10 and 10:30.  I think I went to bed at midnight last night. If you can see the time now you can see that it's well past 11. So far 0 for 2. I guess I'll just keep trying!! :-/

Sick

I woke up Sat morning with a horrible headache, runny nose and sore throat. I had to cancel my fun plans to have a double date as well as all the errands that were going to be done.  Sunday, brought no relief. In fact, I didn't wake up til 1pm and went back to sleep for a couple of hours late afternoon  At this point, I had a nose running like a faucet and very sore muscles.  Since I had Monday off, I went to bed at midnight.  Monday morning came around 10 am for me when I finally decided to get out of bed.  I ran a couple of errands (car repair and oil change) and I decided that my Tylenol Cold and Sinus were simply not doing the trick.  I ran into Target to get some other drugs and I bumped into a friend.  She suggested taking allergy meds which I tried late last night.  While the drugs did relieve the constant nose drippage, they did nothing for the pressure on my face and temples.  So, today when I woke up with a horrid headache for day # 4 I decided there was no way I was going to work.  I got up, typed sub plans, drove to meet my car pool lady so she could deliver the plans and came home and went back to bed.  I was very torn about my decision until I didn't wake back up until 2 pm.  Whatever this bug, it is sure kicking my butt!!

Winter Break

I realize this post is coming a bit late as we've been back in school for three days.  However, I suppose I'll go with the motto "better late than never".

This break was so nice.  I don't remember the last time that I had a chunk of time off from work where I wasn't working three jobs or out of town.  I spent the first couple of days off getting up very early and organizing the house like mad. But after the holidays, (see another post coming later) I slowed things way down and got to stay up late and sleep in.  I spent a couple of days entirely in my pajamas.  It doesn't get better than that!

Some highlights (positive & negative) from the break:

* Wedding dress shopping with my mom and sisters
* Spending time with my hubby
* Learning new recipes
* Getting things free from Kohls and Bed Bath & Beyond with coupons!
* Swimming with my hubby
* Stolen phone (bad)/Returned phone!(miracle)
* Puppy time
* time with girlfriends at my friend's play
* good times on NYE with great friends, food and games
* trying new restaurant (Destihl) and some old goodies- SunSinger
* shopping with friends
* time to rest
* Dentist (not so fun)/ Clean teeth = refreshing
