On 12/3/11, Ruby Painter, age 85, passed away. She had a twenty year battle with cancer that she repeatedly won. I'd say this was no exception! She passed peacefully with no fear and no pain.
We got to honor her amazing life on Friday December 8 in her hometown Gadsden, Alabama. We had a pretty late start on Thursday night and arrived in Alabama at 4 am. Luckily her service wasn't until 2. I got to spend the day with out of town relatives.
